By using Jarnvagskartan (the Service) you agree to these terms. If you do not accept the terms, you should not use the Service.
The Service is a tool for railway-related planning, information gathering and document management. The Service is available via web, iOS app and Android app.
The Service may also send push notifications to registered devices for operational information, account-related messages, and other messages connected to the Service.
The Service is intended for use in Sweden and for Swedish conditions. We do not guarantee functionality, data coverage or regulatory suitability outside Sweden.
The Service is intended for users who are at least 18 years old. By using the Service you confirm that you meet this age requirement.
"Organisation" refers to a legal entity (e.g. company, authority, association).
"Professional use" refers to use by or for an Organisation, or use in the course of employment or assignment, even if the user is a private individual.
The Service may be provided free of charge during an introductory/beta period.
Private, non-professional use of the Service's core functionality remains free of charge.
The features included in the free part of the Service may change over time. Features may be added, changed, moved to paid tiers, or removed; the exact scope of the free tier is not guaranteed.
Professional use is currently permitted without a separate agreement, but without any guarantees regarding availability, support, data quality or long-term cost-free access. We reserve the right to introduce fees, licensing requirements, feature restrictions or require a written agreement for continued Professional use at any time, effective from the date specified when the terms are updated.
If the Service is used in employment or other Professional use, we may in the future require a separate commercial agreement and paid license/subscription for continued use. If such agreement is not accepted, Professional use must cease.
Any future in-app purchases will be handled through the respective platform's payment system (Apple App Store, Google Play).
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account. Contact us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use.
You may at any time request deletion of your account and associated data via the app's profile view or by contacting us via email.
Push notifications are optional. You can disable them through your operating system's settings and, where available, through the account setting for push delivery.
We may suspend or restrict an account in case of misuse, unauthorized automation/scraping, breach of these terms, or when required for security or legal reasons.
The Service is provided as is and is an information and planning aid. It is not a navigation system, an official source, or a safety-critical system. The information is primarily based on data from the Swedish Transport Administration (Trafikverket) and other external sources. Such data may be incorrect, incomplete, delayed, or outdated and is not independently verified by Jarnvagskartan. Some views and information in the Service are automatically generated or computed from such data, for example schematic track sketches and calculated positions and kilometer values. They are simplified or approximate, do not constitute official drawings or official position information, and may deviate from actual conditions, for example regarding track order, sides, mirroring, or position.
Jarnvagskartan is independent of Trafikverket. Trafikverket has not participated in, reviewed, or approved the Service and is not responsible for it.
The user is responsible for checking routes, positions, and other important information against current official sources, signs, instructions, employer procedures, and applicable safety procedures. You are responsible for the final assessment and for complying with applicable laws and regulations. The Service must not be used as the sole basis for navigation, operating a vehicle, or safety-critical decisions.
To the extent permitted by law, Jarnvagskartan is not liable for loss or damage caused by reliance on incorrect or outdated information, choosing an incorrect route, or errors and deficiencies in data supplied by Trafikverket or other external providers. This does not limit liability that cannot be limited under mandatory law.
We are not liable for errors, delays or interruptions caused by third-party providers or external infrastructure (e.g. map data, cloud services, CDN/proxy, internet operators or platform providers).
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages, consequential damages, lost profits, production losses or other losses arising from the use of or inability to use the Service.
For Professional use (see Section 4), our total aggregate liability per 12-month period is, to the extent permitted by applicable law, limited to the amount actually paid for the Service during the same period. For consumers, the rights provided by mandatory consumer protection law apply and are not limited by these terms.
The Service allows you to create and upload your own content, for example custom map layers, points, lines and files ("User Content"). You retain ownership of your User Content but are solely responsible for it — including that you have the right to upload and share it, that it does not infringe the rights of others, does not contain malicious code and does not violate the law. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive right to store, process, and display User Content to the extent required to provide the Service, including sharing that you initiate.
We do not review User Content and are not responsible for its accuracy or for how it is used by you or by anyone you share it with. If you share content with other users, you are responsible for that sharing, including for any personal data you enter (e.g. email addresses in sharing lists).
We may remove User Content that violates these terms. User Content is not covered by any quality commitments on our part, and the disclaimers in Section 7 also apply to our automatic placement, computation, and presentation of User Content (for example, map placement based on entered kilometer values).
We do not guarantee that User Content is preserved. You are responsible for keeping your own copies of content that is important to you.
We may update these terms and modify the Service. Changes to the Service are made for valid reasons, such as further development and improvement, security, operational or technical reasons, changes at external providers, or changed legal requirements. Material changes to your detriment will be announced in advance, and you may then close your account before the change takes effect. Continued use after updated terms have been published means that you accept them.
Previous versions of these terms are available on request via the contact address in Section 12.
We may temporarily or permanently restrict features or access to the Service, for example for maintenance, security or regulatory reasons.
The Service is operated using reasonable technical efforts but is provided without any guarantee of uninterrupted or error-free availability.
We may assign our rights and obligations under these terms to another legal entity that takes over the operation of the Service, for example in connection with incorporation or reorganization.
